Privacy notice

How Proactive Therapy handles the personal information you share through this website. Last updated October 2026.

Proactive Therapy respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

Proactive Therapy is a physiotherapy practice in Johannesburg, South Africa, run by Jo-dee Pryce. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website.

What we collect

When you request an appointment, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you're interested in, whether you've visited us before, your preferred appointment times and anything you choose to tell us in your message.

Your message may include information about your health. Please only share what you're comfortable with. We'll go through the details with you in person at your appointment.

Why we collect it

We use your details only to respond to your request, arrange your appointment and contact you about your care. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing without your permission.

How we store and protect it

Booking requests are stored securely with our website provider and sent to the practice by email. The email service records whether each message was delivered and opened. Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to arrange your care.

Website analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't build a profile of you.

How long we keep it

We keep booking requests only for as long as we need them to arrange your care, or for as long as the law requires. Clinical records created during your treatment are kept separately, in line with the rules for healthcare practitioners.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To do so, send us a request through the booking form and mention it in your message.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
